Hey Y’all! It’s been a min, and this post is lonnnng overdue. I know, I need to do better at updating you all. So here it is, by now, we all know the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV!! And I am still elated about it. If you didn’t know by now, I’m a BUCS fan and have been for years #hometeam. I don’t tell people unless they ask, cause when I do, people look at me like I am crazy🥴! But all this time I’ve been holding out hope since the last time we won the Superbowl in 2003.
At the start of 2021, I told myself I would not travel as much and had no plans of going anywhere in the foreseeable future. And then the Bucs won the NFC Championship game, meaning they were going to the Superbowl in their home stadium. Not sure about you, but that was a no brainer to me and I just HAD to go home. I wanted to be there when we won the Superbowl, because I just knew we were winning, it was our time, and everything lined up perfectly.
It was time to board my plane, and not going to lie, I debated if I should get off. The flight was completely full, 👀 I guess everyone had the same idea as me, go to Florida and cheer on the Bucs. No I think they just wanted to party in a state that is open and appears to be COVID free 🥴. *sigh* As soon as we landed everyone kept talking about how they were going to Ybor city to party; and then I heard from the person behind me stating that they were silencing all CDC notifications for the weekend after receiving a notification discouraging Superbowl parties (this is exactly how we combat covid, silencing CDC notifications 🤦🏾♀️). After hearing this I knew I had to play it safe, the buccaneers were not worth COVID.
It was game time, and while I couldn’t attend the actual Superbowl I had the best seat in the house.
We had a Superbowl party at my sister’s house, I enjoyed family time and got to cheered the Bucs on with my loved ones!
Champa Bay has a nice ring to it!
