Happy New Year!!

The New Year is a time to restart, refocus, make new goals and let’s not forgot the most important, make travel plans!!!

A New Year tradition of mine for the last couple of years is to plan out my year with things that I would like to accomplish through out the year. A couple days before the New Year I like to look over the year and see what I accomplished and did not accomplish. After I’ve evaluated the past year I’ll make my new list based on what I did not accomplish the previous year. What ever goals and travel plans I did not accomplished in the previous year will carry over into the new year and I’ll add new goals and plans.

Travel plans:

Paris in March- I have already visited Paris in 2016 but my sister told me she wants to go for her spring break, and my mom wants to go to celebrate her 60th birthday, so we made it a family trip and of course I had to join. While in Europe my father wants to visit family in London, and I made a request to visit Belgium. I am looking forward to spending time with my family in Europe and eating all the yummy food Paris has to offer, I am also looking forward to eating waffles and chocolates in Belgium.

Chicago In May- So many people tell me how beautiful Chicago is and to visit in summer. This year for my birthday I want to celebrate it else where so Chicago just seemed perfect.

A few other trips include Ocean City for a girls getaway for Memorial Weekend, Minneapolis in June, and possibly Ghana in December.

Goals:

  • Reading at least one book a month
  • Praying more
  • Running more
  • Volunteering
  • Cultivating friendships

These are just a few of my travel plans and goals that I made for the year. After I make these plans I like to pray over them and give them to God, because while we make plans He ultimately determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9). Leave me a comment and tell me what are some of your New Year goals? And what New Year traditions do you have?
